Doily's & Grime

Added some grime. Not sure on the main metal coil grime really, but it will do for now. Also started the doily's textures.

It's good to see you dirtying her up a bit, but pay particular attention to where your various appliances connect, as this is were the grime would collect - not in patches; on the surface of her body it would just look less 'brand new', but around the rivets and connections there would be grease and rust - see below for reference...

It's not like you have to go mad, but you just need to make her appear to be made of real stuff, with real forces acting on it: what you've done on her body lacks a reason for it being there...

In terms of priority, I guess snakes and sleeves are paramount, Jonny!

Cheers Phil, the problem I'm having is I set up these shaders with tiled textures. So I'll have to remake textures specifically for each object. This is time consuming, I'll focus on the more important tasks for now and i'll return to this stuff later.

Hi Jon,

Nice to see your progress. Liking the dirty look too...Thats the textures not her ;) However, don't fall into the symmetrical trap. Your pipework / plating is mirrored. It makes a massive difference if you make small changes to shape on one side (not so much that it ruins UVs etc) or add an extra pipe or valve etc.

Thanks Alan, I will make her less symmetrical. I think it wouldn't be so obvious once the composition is all set up. But it's wise to do it regardless.
