Just written up my process into baking in Maya from a High poly model to a Low poly.
The final result isn't the best, it's rather messy. Some of that mess you'd clean up in Photoshop by painting it out, the other problems relate to the cage not fitting around the high poly correctly. I did it rather quickly as a training exercise. It's far from refined yet, and I'm still trying to find my feet. But here it is.
I am a video game artist at Dovetail games, working on Train Simulator 2014, 2015 and an unannounced title.
I also graduated from the CG Arts course at UCA in 2010 with a First Class.
