Hello

Hi guys, I've been made aware of my lack of blog presence recently. As a massive advocate of the whole blogging system with regard to the arts, and more importantly; for the CG Arts course, that obviously can not continue! That said, i'd like to share with you, if I may, a couple of piece of works in progress. I will admit to being slightly nervous to post these up, they aren't near completion yet and if recent history is anything to go by; they may never be complete. However, in a desperate attempt to not only try and reseat myself in the 'CG arts circle', i'd like to try and use this outlet as a means to motivate myself to actually finish some new pieces of work.

Before I post those up, I'd like to first bring your attention to an Animation that I recently worked on with the talented Pol Winandy. This Animation was a collaboration project between UCA & University of Kent entitled 'Spectacular Science' and I was responsible for the design, modelling and texturing of all of the 'characters' in the film. It's taken me a while to get around to posting this, so please forgive me if you've already seen it.

Secondly, I'd like to direct your attention to my Youtube page, over at :

You will find that I have recently updated the page to use the latest youtube template and organised my best work into easy to find Playlists at the bottom. Please, subscribe to me and I shall do the same in kind.

On to the current work!

Below is a block in of a street scene that I am quite anxious to produce. The idea of this scene is to produce a video game res environment and bring it into the Unreal engine for some real time renders. The scene is to be a Scifi, cyber punk, futuristic London Scene and I imagine it to be very rainy, bleak, wet and gritty.

Here is the beginnings of one of the buildings. The plan is to produce them in high res before baking them down into low res modular assets. By making them modularly I'll be able to reuse them to produce buildings quickly.

On top of this I have been concepting for a Digital paint. My main inspiration here is underwater life [you can't see it so much yet] and things like Balet. I want her to feel very graceful yet deadly. Below are a few shots of the progress.

Lastly, thanks for reading guys and I hope that my presence on this blogosphere will remain strong from this point on.
