Someone put me out of my misery and tell me exactly what they think is wrong and needs to be changed. I feel like I'm going to be working on this for the rest of my life right now, I need to start locking it down ready for rendering and Post.
Start by lightening the face to match the hands. Thats the main problem right now. Either do that with an extra light to only conected to the face - or brighten the texture.
In your using a mia_metrial_x shader for the snakes and its not picking up highlights. Try switching to a blinn and see if it effects quality. It may not but will give you the extra highlights.
I am a video game artist at Dovetail games, working on Train Simulator 2014, 2015 and an unannounced title.
I also graduated from the CG Arts course at UCA in 2010 with a First Class.
